It’s been five months since I last updated. I can’t really say much except that life happened and I’m so sorry. Let’s see if I can keep to my resolution for this new quarter to update twice a week. If I can’t pull it off, maybe once a week might just do.
Like I posted when it first happened, I did my big chop in November last year; a year and seven months earlier than I’d boasted that I would *lol. Luckily enough though, I felt it was time. And it would seem like it all paid off :D. It’s been five months since and I’m happy to say that it’s paid off and Poussey (thinking of that name for my mane? And yeah, your guess is right, I just saw the first two seasons of Orange is the new black and I’m in love!!!!
) is growing beautifully. I seem to be getting this all natural thing right :D. Would I have learnt these much if I’d just gone ahead and big chopped instead of transitioning for 11 months like I did? I can’t really say. But knowing myself, it might not have been so easy. However, to all those transitioning out there, when it’s time to take that plunge and make the chop, take it. As long as you’re doing it for you and you feel it’s time, you’ve got nothing to lose.My writing is a bit clunky, so you will have to forgive me for that. I haven’t done this in a while and I’m still trying to get back into the game.
I just started my health journey (I say health because I’m looking at fitness, mental, emotional and overall body health), so there’s been more exercising (although a bit infrequently and not as hardcore as I would like. Hopefully, I would be able to get in gear soon. My preferred exercise form is dancing with a bit of yoga (just started it though) and it’s all a total of an hour fifteen minutes.
Well, that’s all for today. Will keep you guys posted on my health journey. I’m thinking something long term so maybe a year would be my total review physique-wise. That way I know I’m not just getting on a fitness fad but I’m instead really doing this healthily and in order to give my body a total system overhaul. Of course, I will keep you updated on how it goes. I have so much to share!
Anyway, here’s me leaving you with Poussey’s growth so far 🙂 (with some protective styling thrown into the mix). Ja ne.
